01 — The brief

Hawksmoor began with a search for the perfect beef and grew into one of the UK’s most awarded restaurant groups. The website had to feel as premium as the restaurants — and make the two jobs that matter, finding a venue and booking a table, effortless on any device.

02 — Challenges & solutions

What stood in the way — and how I solved it

01Premium vs. usable

Editorial layouts, photography that leads and restrained typography — with every page ending in one obvious booking action.

02Many venues, many menus

A single site menu — Restaurants, The Lowback Bar, About, News, Careers — and menus organised per venue.

03Booking friction

Reservation in three fields — restaurant, date & time, guests — with lunch and dinner hours visible upfront.

03 — The solution
